Two exit polls released after voting concluded indicate that the Swedish left-wing bloc, led by the Social Democrats, is leading in today’s general election, while support for the far right appears to be slipping.
According to AFP, a poll released by the public broadcaster SVT shows the four-party opposition bloc securing a combined 51.3% of the vote, while the right-wing coalition led by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson—which includes the anti-immigration Sweden Democrats—captured 46.8%.
